Many Christians find themselves using the words thanksgiving, praise, and worship interchangeably. There are different meanings for the words. Terry Law explains, “Thanksgiving relates to God’s deeds, what He has done. Praise relates to God’s character, who He is. Worship relates directly to God’s holiness.”8

GIVE THANKS IN THE MIDST OF DISEASE

We give thanks in the midst of disease by saying, “By His stripes we are healed” (see 1 Pet. 2:24). We give thanks that He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses (see Matt. 8:17). I like to give thanks according to Exodus 15:26, thanking Him for being the God who heals me. We should thank God for answering satan’s attack. Thanksgiving is the trigger that prepares us for the miracle-working power of God.
